One Year of Sewing – Looking Back and Moving Forward

A year-end review of Bian Sew Studio.

At the end of March, Bian Sew Studio began its journey. What started as a simple idea quickly turned into a growing space for sewing patterns created with joy, practicality, and creativity in mind.

In the beginning, the website featured English-only content, but soon it became bilingual, offering patterns in both English and Hungarian. Creating an inclusive space for both international and local sewists has always been important to me.

At first, I shared only free sewing patterns, and later introduced premium patterns as well. These include:

  • patterns with detailed written instructions,

  • and patterns with illustrated, visual guides.

All patterns are available in English and Hungarian. Premium patterns can be purchased on the official website or via the Ko-fi shop.

One thing I am especially proud of:
👉 I managed to release one new sewing pattern every single week throughout the year.

This Year in Numbers

  • 📝 58 blog posts

  • ✂️ 38 free sewing patterns in English

  • ✂️ 15 free sewing patterns in Hungarian

  • 👗 26 premium sewing patterns in English

  • 👗 7 premium sewing patterns in Hungarian

  • 👀 over 1,000 visitors

Behind these numbers are finished garments, first sewing attempts, creative experiments, and a growing community.

Plans for the Year Ahead

Next year, I will continue with one new sewing pattern per week. I also plan to focus more on:

  • seasonal and themed content aligned with the time of year,

  • creating even more wearable, enjoyable sewing projects.

My goal remains the same:
👉 to reach more people with my patterns,
👉 and to help sewists find garments they truly enjoy making and wearing.

If you have ideas, requests, or patterns you would love to see, feel free to reach out – I’m always happy to hear from you.

If you’d like to say thank you, you can leave a comment or, if possible, buy me a coffee on Ko-fi.
And if you’ve sewn one of my patterns, please tag your photo with #biansewstudio – I’d love to see what you’ve made.

Thank you for being here and for being part of this journey.
The best is yet to come.
